OLD RESIDENT OF LIVERPOOL DIES
Following a long illness, Valentine Bahn, 79, one of the best known pioneer residents of Liverpool, died at his home there Monday evening. Mr. Bahn came to the United States at the age of 16 and resided in Liverpool nearly 63 years. A Republican in politics, he was postmaster in that village for two years and also had been attache in the county clerk's office and for a time, doorkeeper in the state Assembly in Albany. Surviving are two sons, Charles M. Bahn of 92 Huntington Park, Rochester, and George E. Bahn of Liverpool; one daughter, Katherine L. Bahn, of Liverpool; one brother, Phillip Bahn Sr., Liverpool and one sister, Mrs. Adam King, also of Liverpool. Funeral services will be held from Mr. Bahn's late home, 704 Vine St., at 2 o'clock on Thursday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Liverpool Cemetery.
