Eugene L. Abbott, age 73 of Westfield passed away at his home on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Born July 7, 1948 in Wellsboro, PA, he was the son of the late Lionel and Betta (Hess) Abbott. He was a manufacturing engineer for Pure Carbon Industries and was a former member of the Knoxville Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department and the Knoxville VFW. He enjoyed hunting and tinkering on electronics and CB's. Gene is survived by his sons, Alan Abbott of Sabinsville and Jeffrey Abbott of Westfield; a sister, Deborah Ahearn of FL; his longtime friend, caregiver and mother of his sons, Sharon Hackett and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lionel and Tyrone. Per his request, there will be no services.
