Donald G. Walske, age 93, entered eternal life on Good Friday, April 15, 2022 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.

Don was born on September 21, 1928 in Gillett. He was the son of the late William and Ida Lindall Walske. Don served his country with the United States Army overseas during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge he returned to Manitowoc and became employed with the Foley Company for 46 years retiring in 1993. He married Mary Gauthier in 1951 in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on December 18, 1982. He later married Carolyn Johnsen on November 25, 1983 in Manitowoc. Don was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659 and the Amvets Post #99.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn, three children, Jean Ann (Gary) Gates, Two Rivers, Donald "Butch" (Evelyn) Walske, Two Rivers, Lynn Marie Cooper, Francis Creek; four step children, Theresa Mella, Fitchburg, Julie (Gerald) Maslanka, Appleton, Steven (Dawn) Johnsen, Manitowoc, Dennis (Brenda) Johnsen, Appleton; 23 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, three sisters, two brothers, and two sons-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Entombment will be at Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. There will be a prayer service held Wednesday evening at 6 :30 led by Deacon Alan Boeldt. The visitation will continue on Thursday morning at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the funeral services military honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #731 at the church. A luncheon will be held for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
