C.H.C. Anderson was the second son of William E. P. Anderson and Nellie Hamilton, born into a prominent family in Carlinville, Illinois. "Crit" married Nellie Patchen in 1901, and in 1907 they settled at a farm in Ector, TX. From there, they moved to Dallas and lived there 57 years.
