EASLEY, SC - Bessie Cassell Boggs, 84, of 115 South Eighth Street, died November 20, 1995, at Laurel Hill Nursing Center in Pickens.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Lucy Morgan Cassell and wife of the late Walter Cornelius "Nub" Boggs.
She retired from Woodside Mills, Easley plant, and was a member of Easley Senior Citizens Unlimited. She was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church and the Young at Heart Club.
Surviving are a son, Neal Boggs of Easley; two daughters, Lula Crane of Greenville and Martha Galloway of Easley; three sisters, Clovia McCall of Easley, Martha Freeman of Greenville and Ollie Powell of Greer; three brothers, Grady Cassell and John Cassell, both of Easley, and Edward Cassell of Hagerstown, Maryland; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, George Boggs and Jack Boggs; a daughter, Pearline Finley; and three brothers, Carl Cassell, Ernest Cassell and Luther Cassell.
Services: 4 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel, Easley, conducted by the Revs. Garland Sentell and Roger Couch. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Cassell, Joe Cassell, Buddy Bridges, Billy Pelt, Boyd Lusk and Boyd Galloway.
Visitation: 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Boggs, 111 South Eighth Street, Easley.
