He was preceded in death by his wife, Enola Porter Donelson and his siblings Nancy Aste and Rembert Donelson. He is survived by his two children Andrew Jackson Donelson, Jr. and Theodosia Donelson Martin and four grandchildren.
A graveside service was held in Clarksdale, Mississippi on December 28, 2018.
