Eric Augustus Ambush

Services will be held in Maryland and a memorial held later at the Forks Drag Strip for Sequim resident Eric Augustus Ambush, who died June 22, 2013, at the age of 66.

He was born Feb. 27, 1947, in Frederick, Md., to Henry Ernest and Charlotte Eloinia Ambush.

He served in the U.S. Army for 27 years and in the Army Reserve as a sergeant. He and his wife, Cleo, were married in 1973 and divorced in 1998.

He lived in Maryland until moving to Sequim in 2002. He owned a trucking company for a time and worked for 30 years as a mechanical engineer. In Sequim he worked at A-1 Auto Parts for nearly 10 years and also was a mentor to young people.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Christopher Choi, of Maryland; two grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
