STAR CITY -
Helen Brown Wasson, 75, of Star City, died Wednesday at Central Arkansas Hospital at Searcy.
She was born March 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Will Duncan Brown and Ida Freda Spooner Brown.
She was a retired nurse.
She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Glendale (Lincoln County).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wasson, who died on Dec. 3, 2002; and one sister, Gertrude Burnett.
Survivors include three brothers, Irvin W. Brown and Eugene D. Brown, both of McRae (White County), and Tony A. Brown of Star City; and five sisters, Teresa Jones of McRae, Irene Sutts of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Barbara Terry of McGehee, Patsy Earnest of Star City and Ernelene Glover of Greenbrier (Faulkner County).
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Griffin Funeral Home at Star City with the Rev. Michael Powell officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery at Glendale.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
