TEHACHAPI, CA, AND BANGOR - Alexie Amelia Gerry Adams, 19, passed away on February 3, 2018, in Orono, Maine. Our shining light, Alexie, was born on October 17, 1998, in Flagstaff, Arizona. When she was a baby, her parents moved to Tehachapi, California, where she grew up and attended local elementary schools and Tehachapi High School. Lex was a true California girl whose innate kindness and spunk was impossible to miss. Her smile was infectious and she was loved by all who crossed her path. When Alexie was 18, she moved to Bangor, Maine, with her uncle, Rob Titus. She finished her senior year in Maine and graduated from Bangor High School on June 11, 2017.
From an early age, Alexie excelled in softball, tennis and drama. She played softball and tennis throughout high school which she loved, but her favorite place to be was on stage. Alexie was a natural thespian and starred in several plays throughout her life. She was hilarious on stage as well as off and dreamed of being in the movies one day. He favorite actress was Kate Winslet. Lexie was so supportive of her fellow actors and actresses and often shared hilarious memories both on and offstage. She starred in many plays throughout her career. Memorable roles include Snow White in "Snow What and the Seven Dwarfs" and Veruca Salt in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Her resume also boasts: "Alter Egos," "The Haunting of Will Shakespeare," "Axe of Murder," "Sherlock Holmes," "DNA," "Our Town," and most recently "The Paperboy" in Bangor, Maine.
After Alexie graduated from high school, she became an Optician at Eye Mart. She enjoyed assisting customers and managed to make everyone smile in the process. She really loved her job and given her spirit, we are certain her job loved her back. Alexie could have been anything she wanted to be if she had been given the time. She was a lover of all things off kilter and artistic and loved to express herself by channeling Lana Del Rey in photoshoots with her friend, Christopher. If Lana, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, and Marilyn Manson had a love child: it would be Alexie.
Alexie's support and encouragement of her friends and family was unprecedented. She loved and lifted up her friends who may have seemed "different" by conventional standards. Alexie saw the soul... other people's opinions of her or her amazing friends were irrelevant. Lexie's vibrancy and strong minded opinions allowed her friends to always feel safe and inspired by her. She was blunt and to the point, but would also leave you laughing hysterically with her silly antics. Rob Titus (Uncle) was Alexie's sole provider for the last six years of her life and was like a father to her. She truly appreciated Rob and loved him dearly. Alexie was a spitting image of her mother Kim and their connection was both beautiful and unique. Her younger siblings Colton and Dakota were everything to her. She loved them fiercely and spoke of them often.
Alexie is survived by her mother, father, brother and sister; maternal grandparents, uncle and aunts. Alexie is also survived by many relatives in California and Missouri and best friends Christopher, Isaiah, Jamie , Johnny , Marti, and her beloved dog, Chewy.

"Blue is the color of the planet from above
Long live our reign, long live our love...
But we're just beautiful people with beautiful problems, yeah
But we gotta try
Every day and night"
