SHREWSBURY Vivian L. Harris, 81, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008, at her home. She was the wife of Rev. Robert S. Harris. Viewings will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2008, and from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Assembly of God, 234 N. Main St., Shrewsbury. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Born March 6, 1926, in Perry Township, Greene County, Vivian was the daughter of the late Rev. Earl Hamill and Daisy (Wilburn) Hamill. Vivian was a licensed minister with the Assembly of God for over 53 years. She pastored at the Dennisport Tabernacle, Cape Cod, Mass., in the 1950's during which time she met and married Rev. Robert S. Harris on June 1, 1954. Vivian was very involved in child evangelism, teaching bible classes for many years, and often speaking at women's conventions and conferences throughout Pennsylvania. Her life was the church and her family. In addition to her husband, Rev. Robert S. Harris, she is survived by her daughter, Sharon Durand and her husband, Roy Hinton of Hayes, Va.; three sons, David E. Harris and his wife, Ama of Shrewsbury, Paul E. Harris and his wife, Beth of Yorktown, Va., and Timothy Harris and his wife, Rita of Berkley Springs, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Rev. Wilma West of Lakeland, Fla., Mabel Lyon of Jacksonville, Fla., and Sarah Strength of Spring Hill, Fla. She was predeceased by three brothers Robert Hamill, Elmo Hamill, and Ralph Hamill.
