Albert, as he was often called, attended Central High School in Greeley, Colorado. While there, in 1952 he was adjudged winner of the school art exhibition with his prize winning painting of a clown. Al was a US Army veteran having been drafted, serving in West Germany in the late 1950s, and he participated in sports on several Army basketball teams. Leaving the service he continued his career in art and became a commercial artist for several companies. Al went on to marry Corrine Rivera in the late 1950s and they had a daughter Ramona and he helped raise three sons by Corrine's earlier marriage and relations. Al later married Caroline R. Ruiz.

Obituary from April 2022.
Marion served in the US Army and worked hard to provide for his family. He came from a long line of Barbers and entrepreneurs. He loved sports and loved coaching when time permitted. Never one to give up, Marion fought hard until his last day of 88 years. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

We humbly entrust our father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. In this life, you embraced him with your tender love. Welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping, nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with Your Son and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.

Marion is survived by his children and by his many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was a dad and mentor to many and loved and cherished by all.
