She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Parker, PC, KS (1695–1784), an English barrister, judge, Privy Counsellor and Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer, and his second wife, Martha, daughter of Edward Strong, of Greenwich. She married her cousin, John Jervis, 1st Earl of St Vincent. They had no children.

According to her wishes, she was buried at St Peter's Church, Caverswall, her parents' parish church, where there is a monument to her.
