My second cousin, Donna Lynn, was the youngest daughter of my great-uncle, Jess Duty and great-aunt, Arevia YORK Duty and the sister of Louise and Betty Sue.

She lived in Clarkton, Missouri for much of her, almost, twelve years of life. She was born with cerebral palsy and was greatly loved by her family.

Donna Lynn's cousin, Freida JOBE, came home from Chicago to take care of little Donna Lynn while Donna Lynn's mother was in the hospital for surgery and they wrote letters to her mama everyday and her mama wrote back everyday so that Donna Lynn would not miss her mother so much. However, Donna Lynn still missed her mother so very much and died just one day before her mother got back home from the hospital.

Little Donna Lynn was survived by her parents, and her two sisters and many, many cousins and other family members. She was much loved and is missed by all who knew her.

(First picture is of Donna Lynn, taken about 1955, with her cousin, Hershel Jobe. Hershel and his two siblings, Cecil Howard and Freida Christine, were raised by Donna Lynn's parents following the death of their mother during childbirth in 1935, who was Donna Lynn's, Aunt Fannie DUTY Jobe.)

(The second picture is of our little Donna Lynn at age six months.)

(Donna Lynn is the tiny little girl in the third picture, shown with some neighbors. Picture was taken about 1948.)
