He retired from the United States Marine Corps and lived the past 26 years on a boat in Colon, Panama with his wife, Jean who preceded him in death in April, 2007. Clarence had many friends who will miss him dearly. He is survived by daughter Karen Sue Beattie of Tacoma and niece Kathy (Len) Vanscoy of Idaho. Per his request, there will be no services held. Inurnment will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
