SIMON -- Graveside rites for Elnora M. Phillips, 70, will be 2 p.m. today at Simon Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Shelton and Parlee Russell officiating.

Born March 27, 1929, at Simon to Con and Pearl Powell Nipp, she died Feb. 4, 2000, at a Marietta Hospital. She was preceded in death by a brother, Claud Nipp in 1990 and sisters, Dorleen Nipp, 1936, and Meady Mae Vernon, 1999.

Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker. She had lived in Ardmore for the past 20 years, moving from Wilson. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Survivors include two sons: Keith Phillips and Bobby Phillips, both of Ardmore, Oklahoma; daughter Elaine Owens, Ardmore, Oklahoma; seven brothers: Charles Nipp, Decatur, Nebraska Conver, Gene and Donald Nipp, all Wilson, Oklahoma; and John and Curtis Nipp, Overbrook, Oklahoma; six sisters: Parlee Russell and Oleta Self, Leon, Oklahoma; Lorene Montgomery, Marietta, Oklahoma; Nadine Goode, Wilson, Oklahoma; Carolyn Westmoreland, Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Linda Williams, Rubottom, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Bearers are David Vernon, Bill Russell, Dale Vernon, Joe Russell, Dean Vernon and Kenneth Westmoreland. Honorary bearers are brothers and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
