Fifth daughter of Andrew Lafayette Small and Nancy Isobel Dillard Small, Adell Euwintha Small joined older sisters Flossie, Jewel and Edythe Small. Another older sister, Cleotis Small had died in April of 1916 at the age of 10 months. After Adell was born, which was pronouced "Aye-Dell," Kathryn DL "Dick" Small was born then later a brother, Leo Jesse Eugene Small and one more sister who is still living.
On March 6 1942, Adell married Barnie Everett Smith in Montgomery Co., Arkansas. Together they had two sons Whit and Danny Smith. Before the journey of her life was over, she would be graced with three grandsons and one granddaughter.
Her husband of 33 years died on August 14 1976. Adell joined him on May 18 1986.
