Glenna Rae Stowell Perkins
1960 - 2022

Glenna Rae Stowell Perkins 61 was born September 29, 1960, in Price Utah to R. Glen Stowell and Thelma (Shannon) Stowell. Her siblings are Terry Stowell (deceased), Carrie Tucker and Steven Stowell. She grew up in Provo and attended Timpview High School.

Glenna Rae fought valiantly against liver disease but passed away on April 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Glenna Rae met and married Dan Perkins. They have spent 32 years together camping, hunting, and taking in stray dogs. But their best accomplishments were their children Burke Trevort, Cody Perkins, and Lisa Perkins. They were her pride and joy.

Glenna Rae loved children and was a second mom to half of Utah County. She took care of her sibling's children for many years as if they were her own. She ran a daycare out of her home and is still involved in many of those children's lives. They all recognize the impact she had on them.

Later in life she went to work at Wasatch Behavioral Health . Working with youth that have been struggling with life issues. She learned to love and care for these kids. A young girl that Glenna Rae worked with wrote this to her when she was preparing to leave: "I don't know what I would have done to stay alive without you guiding me down the right path and reminding me that I am a good kid and that I can make it through hard things. I will always remember you."

Another girl shared: "I'm leaving Vantage point with a much more positive outlook on life, you will be one of my greatest memories."

Glenna Rae had a quirky sense of humor that kept you on your toes. She was always trying to brighten your day and make you smile. If you didn't run fast enough, she would get your Belly Button Stew!!!

Glenna Rae had a passion for genealogy from a young age. She loved the "chase" of trying to find family members and do their work before anyone else found them. Her daughter Lisa said she would ask to use the computer, but her mom was always on the Find a Grave website looking for another family member. She has drawers and drawers full of genealogy that will be a blessing to all her family. We know that so many of our ancestors were waiting for her to thank her for all the work she had done for them.

Glenna Rae is survived by her husband Dan, sons Burke and Cody and daughter Lisa, six grandchildren that will miss her loving care, her mother Shannon Evans, and siblings Carrie and Steven.

She is preceded in death by her father R. Glen Stowell, brother Terry Stowell, and mother-in-law Connie Perkins.

She will have a viewing Sunday May 1, 2022 at Walker Funeral Home at 157 South Main, Spanish Fork, Utah, 84660 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
A viewing will also be held Monday May 2, 2022 at Walker Funeral Home from 9:30am โ€“ 10:30am, followed by a graveside service and tribute at the Provo City Cemetery at 11:00 am. (Northwest side) All family and friends are welcome to come share their thoughts and memories of Glenna Rae.
