Dorothy is the daughter of Edgar "Pop" Allen Poe Miller, Sr., (1905-1987) and Winnifred Alice Gooding (1907-2000). She graduated Hartford High School, Hartford, Van Buren, Mi., in 1968. In 1975 she married Robert Flores. She died way too young from a massive heart attack, leaving behind a loving husband and three very young children, Michael, Michelle and Marcy.
