In Loving memory of James Larry Parrish

Larry Parrish passed away September 3, 1998 from complications due to cancer. Larry was born August 1, 1951. He had been employed at Rotary for over twenty years. During that time he worked in the Shipping, Receiving , Packaging, and the Purchasing departments. He joined the Purchasing Department five years ago as a Buyer. He was responsible for over a hundred vendors but was also Rotary's International Buyer.
Larry was a very dedicated and responsible person and gave a hundred per cent effort in everything he did. It did not matter whether he was working with a vendor, working with the United Way, working with a fellow buyer, working with his church, or working around the house with his family, Larry was always positive and upbeat. He was willing to give whatever he had to help those in need.
Larry was very dedicated to his work and enjoyed being a part of the Rotary family. He always remarked that he was blessed to have two families, one at home and one at work. He was proud to be part of the Rotary family.
In meeting strangers he treated everyone equally, whether he was in Glennville or China: Larry was always Larry. In the few short years that he was a member of the Purchasing Department, he made many friends all over the world. He enjoyed his job and performed it well, Larry will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
