Ruth C. Bottorf, 88, of Lock Haven, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at Susque-View Home, Lock Haven.
Born in Lock Haven on June 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late W. Harvey and Martha Jane Knepp Lovett.
Ruth was married to Charles E. "Chuck" Bottorf, who preceded her in death in April of 1998.
She worked as a clerk at the Lock Haven office of the Baltimore Life Insurance Company.
Ruth was a lifetime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, attending Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She was very kind-hearted and generous and gave to many charities and organizations over her lifetime. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Kay E. Bottorf of Blanchard and Cheryl J. Gardner of Dunnstown; two grandchildren, Christie N. (Allen) Hess of Castanea and Brian Q. (Jan Marie) Bottorf of Beech Creek; and a great grandson, Malachi Q. Moyer of Milesburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six siblings: Wilbur N. Lovett, Loretta E. Quiggle, Mary Jane Krape, Dora Ann Hammersley, Shirley Lou Shady and Wanda Jean Greendoner.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 12 Noon at the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
Private burial will take place at Dunnstown Cemetery, Lock Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
