Dr. Littlepage Dies Suddenly

Physician, Recovering From Influenza, Drops Dead

Dr. Alexander B. Littlepage, 74, died at 5:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home at 1040 Third avenue. He had had influenza and was believed to have almost recovered, when had dropped dead as he was starting to get up. Dr. Littlepage was born in the Littlepage home at Kanawha Two Mile, known as the Old Stone Mansion, the son of Adam B. Littlepage and Rebecca T. Littlepage. He was one of five brothers, Adam, John and Samuel, all dead, and Charles P. Littlepage, who is still living. Of his two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Bennett is dead and Mrs. A. M. Putney living, Dr. Littlepage lived all his life at Kanawha Two Mile until a few years ago, when he moved to St. Albans and later to Charleston. He graduated from Ohio Medical college, Cincinnati, and had practiced for about 40 years.

Besides one brother and sister, Dr. Littlepage is survived by his wife and five daughters, Misses Abbie, Maggie, Ruth, Eva and Mary Littlepage and his nephew, Collet Littlepage.

He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, South, and had been a staunch Democrat all his life.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
