Mr. Evans passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022. Born in Sumter, SC he was a son of the late Clarence E. Evans, Sr. and Barbara Jean Ingram Evans. Mr. Evans was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Ridgeway Ward and was the owner and founder of Evans Heating and Cooling, Inc. Eddie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and racing cars.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah E. Evans; children, Wendy Herbst Cyrier (Rob) of Aliso Viejo, CA, Jeffrey Herbst (Kim) of Weddington, N.C., Scott Herbst of Fallon, MO, Joel Evans of Elgin, SC, Jared Evans (Jessica) of Ridgeway, SC, Jonathan Evans (Mandy) of Elgin, SC; siblings, Ronnie Evans of Los Angeles, CA, Gayle Evans of Columbia, SC, Connie Evans of Columbia, SC; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Glen Evans.
