George Caren Bennett is the husband of Josie Evelyn Bullard and the son of Elias L. Bennett and Henrietta Herrin.

OBITUARY / FUNERAL NOTICE

Mr. George C. Bennett, 89, died Tuesday night at Satilla Regional Medical Center.

A Ware County native, he resided in Millwood and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He was a former aircraft mechanic in the cable shop at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla., where he was a federal civil service employee.

He parents were Elias Bennett and Henrietta Herrin Bennett and his wife was Josie Evelyn Bullard Bennett. Also preceding him in death were a son: Kenneth Earl Bennett, and brother-in-law: Lloyd White.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George Caren and Judy Bennett of Jacksonville; a brother and sister-in-law, Leland and Luvell Bennett of Millwood; a sister Arvilla White, also of Millwood; eight Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews of Ware County.

A Funeral service is planned for 2:00 PM Friday in the Music Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Hargraves Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday night 6 to 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
