Mrs. Charles H. Brown, 92, a former resident of Pittsfield and Hampden, died earlier this week in Galt, Calif. The wife of Charles H. Brown, a former gatekeeper, steward and overseer of Pittsfield and Berkshire County granges, she assisted her husband in his correspondence and accompanied him during his driving tours for the Grange. After moving to Hampden she assisted him full-time when he was elected state master of the Grange in 1949. For the 35 years she lived in Pittsfield she was an active member and officeholder of Local Grange 14. Mrs. Brown will be buried in Lodi, Callifornia

Addelena T. Brown of Galt died yesterday following a short illness. She was 92. She was born in Toledo, Ohio and lived in Lodi from 1967 to 1970. Since that time she has lived in Galt. She was her husband Charles H. Brown had been married 68 years. Mrs. Brown was a member of Grange No. 14 of Pittsfield, Mass., the Executive Commission of the National Grange Patrons of Husbandry and the First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, Fla.
She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Harriet M. Peterson of Galt; one grandson, three great grandchildren ad two great great grandchildren.
