On December 8, 1988, she married Martin Ibarra Correa in Bloomington, Illinois. On January 15, 1989, they renewed their vows with his family in Zacatecas, Mexico.
She was bilingual and raised her four children before starting her career. Maria received her associate's degree in accounting, bachelor's degree in business and was a certified nurse's aide.
Maria is survived by her husband, together 34 years, Martin; mother, Ina Sharpe of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Martin and Marcos Correa, both of Springfield; three daughters, Cristina Kingsley and her husband, Jesse, of Elkland Missouri, Cylea France and Daniel Davis of Springfield and Mindy Letterman, of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Quentin, Waylon, Adrianna, Adrian, Rilynn, Amorie, Francisca, Maia, and Filo; one brother, John Sharpe and his wife, Sabrina and their children of Springfield.
Maria was preceded in death by her son, Anthony; father, John and sister April Bever and her husband, David, and their children.
A visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, Missouri, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Williams Funeral Home, PO Box 103 Marionville, Missouri 65707 to help with funeral expenses.
