IRA BARNARD DEATH VICTIM
Ira J. Barnard, age 59 years, a life-long resident of Jackson township, died Tuesday noon at the Irene Byron sanitarium at Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient for one week.
He was born in Jackson township, Porter county, on July 15, 1878, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Barnard, and was married to Dora Coulter, who survives, together with five children, Mrs. Herbert Krull, Mrs. Wayne Coates, Mrs. Robert Coates, Mrs. Reed Robertson and Joy Barnard, all of Jackson township. He also leaves one brother, Cassius Barnard, of Jackson township, and ten grandchildren.
Mr. Barnard was for many years a bus driver for the Jackson township schools.
Memorial services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church in Westville. Burial will be in Westville cemetery with L. A. Decker, of Westville, in charge.
