Karin E.I. Sjogren age 76, passed into the arms of Jesus Christ at St. Vincent's Hospital, Green Bay, WI on May 4, 2022.

She was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on May 23, 1945, and emigrated to the United States with her parents Alin and Fritjof (Fred) Sjogren and sister Anna in 1947. Karin attended Manistique Area Schools graduating in 1963 and then moved to Milwaukee, WI. She returned to Manistique in 1971 to work at Inland Lime and Stone Co. until retired. She then went to work in the Schoolcraft County Clerk's Office.

Karin was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manistique from 1947 until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Erik, and leaving behind sisters Anna and Elsa Couch of Manistique, MI, special granddaughter Chloe Hanninen of Denton, TX, and her life-partner, Tom Graham of Gulliver, MI.

Memorial contributions in Karin's name may be made to Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church at 435 Oak St., Manistique, MI, 49854, or to Eva Burrell Animal Shelter at 6091W Hwy US2, Manistique, MI 49854. Graveside services will be held on May 23, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery in Manistique at 10:00 AM with Pastor Tommy Richter officiating.
