Mrs. Nora Flannagan Shean passed away at 4 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George J. Slattery, following an illness of about two months, the last few weeks of which she had failed quite rapidly. Mrs. Shean was born in New York state and went to Corry with her parents when a child. She grew to womanhood there and was married to Martin Shean of Tidioute. Mr. Shean passed away many years ago and eighteen years ago the deceased came to Titusville to make her home. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her as a devoted mother, courteous and friendly neighbor and a devout Christian. To Mr. and Mrs. Shean were born six children, three of whom survive, Mrs. Frank J. Hand and Mrs. George J. Slattery of this city and Thomas Shean of Butte, Mont. She was the last of her own family. She was a devoted member of St. Titus church although in recent years attending St. Walburga's church because of its close proximity to her home. A high mass of requiem for the happy repose of her soul will be celebrated at St. Titus church, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, and the interment will be made in St. Catherine's cemetery." - Titusville Herald, Titusville, Pa., Thurs., May 20, 1926
