Austin Strahan Dyer, 45, of Murrieta, California, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Austin was born on March 4, 1977 in Canterbury, Kent, England, to Adrian and Jean Dyer. The family moved to Oregon in 1980. He attended Cloverdale Elementary in Turner, Oregon, where he made lifelong friends. Growing up, Austin was the instigator of fun, often creating games for his brother and six sisters to play. He was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing race cars and sports scenes.

Austin graduated in 1995 from Cascade High School in Turner, Oregon, where he excelled in school and lettered in cross country and track. He was active in the local Boy Scout program and earned the rank of Eagle. He was a friend to all and had the special ability to put a smile on anyone's face. After high school he attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, for a year before being called to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Mexico City South Mission. He was an exceptional letter writer on his mission and was known to create works of art on the envelopes for the recipients.

After his mission, Austin attended Ricks College before he transferred to BYU-Hawaii where he studied International Business and met his wife, Cherisse Storrs. Austin and Cherisse were married in the San Diego LDS Temple on July 21, 2001. They returned to BYU-Hawaii to finish their degrees, both graduating in 2002. Over the years they were blessed with four amazing children Makenzie, Ethan, Tessa and Zeke. Austin later earned his MBA from University of Redlands in 2013. He spent many wonderful years in southern California raising his children.

Austin was a family man in every sense of the word. He loved and cherished his family fiercely and was his kids' biggest fan. His favorite pastime was to play and coach baseball with his boys and soccer with his girls. His family was his life. He could tell a joke to anyone, had a contagious sense of humor, and the ability to touch the lives of everyone that he came in contact with. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and was always ready for a trip to the beach. Austin enjoyed running and completed the St. George Marathon twice, among other long distance races. He had an eye for taking great pictures and enjoyed spending time with his family at Disneyland. He was always up for adventure and loved to travel. He took his family on many long road trips and had visited most states and National Parks where he was able to combine his love for family and time together with them.

Everyone he met became a friend. He could often be found serving others in his neighborhood and community, constantly looking for opportunities to connect with others, and was a kind and supportive neighbor. In his 45 years of life, Austin touched the lives of so many and left his imprint of kindness, generosity, and service on those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Cherisse, his children, Makenzie (18), Ethan (16), Tessa (14), Ezekiel (Zeke, 12); his parents Adrian and Jean Dyer; siblings April (Jake) Smith, Lauren (Preston) Anderson, Molly (Josh) Hunsaker, Luke (Greta) Dyer, Claire Dyer, Emily Dyer, and Rachel Dyer; forty-five nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends who were so special to him.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the LDS Stake Center at 24820 Las Brisas Road in Murrieta with services at 10:00 AM PST. Services can also be attended virtually via: www.austindyermemorial.com. Funeral arrangements are facilitated through Murrieta Valley Funeral Home.
