Loureene Ellenora (Grande) Turner, age 98, died March 27, 2022 at her home in Billings, MT. She was born on August 9, 1923, in Pendroy, MT, to Gilbert and Emma (Nelson) Grande. She had three brothers and one sister.

On March 10, 1946, Loureene married Harry Russell Turner and they were blessed with three children. His career as a minister took them to many places across Montana to pastor various churches, including the Northern Cheyenne Reservation, where they made many friends. They later moved to Billings to be closer to family, and resided with their daughter until Harry passed away on September 15, 2010.

Loureene was a homemaker and her greatest joy was raising her children. She loved to crochet, read, and watch westerns. She also loved to cook and share those dishes with church members and those who came to visit.

Survivors include her children, Daniel Turner of Billings, and Loureene "Dolly" Christensen of Billings; granddaughters Robin Christensen and Jai Christensen, of Tennessee, and Tarrie (Tim) Darwood; and great-grandchildren Treycen of Billings, Marus and Leeland of TN, and Carter, Rian and Jackson of Twist, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Samuel Turner; brothers Peder Grande, Gilbert Grande Jr., Clarende Andrew Grande; and sister Grace Grande McKnight.

Graveside services for both Harry and Loureene will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 13 at Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel, MT. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army and the VFW. Following the graveside service, all are invited to the Assembly of God Church for a Potluck Reception. Harry and Loureene were known for their Potlucks at the churches they served.
