Dominic R. Binversie, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at The Shores of Sheboygan Assisted Living. He was born on May 14, 1936, in School Hill to the late Nicholas and Catherine (Koenig) Binversie. Dominic attended Holy Trinity School in School Hill and Kiel High School and later attended Lakeland College.

Dominic worked on and eventually ran the family farm in School Hill for many years. He then worked for First Interstate Bank, and retired in 2007 from Lakeland College where he worked in the maintenance department.

He was a faithful member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill enjoying singing in both church choirs. He was a life-long Green Bay Packers fan and loved to play cards, especially sheepshead. In his retirement, Dominic loved gardening (of which he was very accomplished), canning his harvest and enjoying a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. He was an avid reader and had a nice collection of history, geography, wildlife books and news periodicals. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. He also loved to travel, highlighted by trips he made to China and Peru in his 70s. Dominic was always very knowledgeable on a number of topics from history to geography to species of plants to politics. One could easily get him talking on various topics for hours. In his younger days at the farm, Dominic had a large collection of comic books and music albums. Dominic is also a past member of the School Hill Knights of Columbus, receiving an Award of Merit in 1969.

Dominic was the second youngest child (youngest son) of 13 children. He is survived by sisters Agnes Wiltzius, Cecilia Smolic, Betty (Ken) Biese.
