Greg graduated from Marian Central High School, and went on to earn his BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He married his sweetheart, Jane Walsh, at St. Paul's Catholic Student Center in Madison. Recently, they celebrated their 50th anniversary with a trip to Florida. They have one son, Damon Gregory Lindsay, JD (Kimberlee Wojick, DVM, DACZM) of Providence, Rhode Island.
Greg was a businessman who owned several local businesses: Coast to Coast Hardware, Sears, and A.G. Lindsay Transportation. He was an animal lover who walked his yellow lab, Chief, on the DeKalb Nature Trail daily. Greg had a lifelong interest in politics, and worked as campaign manager for Coroner Bill Sullivan, the first Democrat elected to that office in 100 years. Memberships included the Sunrise Rotary Club, the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Business Association, and University of Wisconsin Alumni Association.
Greg was cremated and will be interred at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, McHenry. A celebration of Greg's life will be held in July.
