John Franklin Seabaugh, 86, of Whitewater, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at his home.
John was born March 6, 1936, to Amon and Dolly (Smith) Seabaugh in Allenville, Missouri. He and Freida Shives were joined in marriage in 1960.
John was an operating engineer for Local 513 in Cape Girardeau for over 60 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved gardening, especially ginseng.
In addition to his wife of sixty-two years, he is survived by four children and their families: John Franklin (Mae) Seabaugh Jr. and children, John Seabaugh III, Michelle Seabaugh of Virginia, Jeffrey (SonOk) Seabaugh of Perryville, and their child, Monica; Laura (Ron) Schults of Perryville, Missouri, and children, Nick Seabaugh of Chaffee and Amanda Hahn of Sedgewickville; and Benjamin Seabaugh of Whitewater and his children, Paul Seabaugh of Florida and Kristopher Seabaugh; two sisters, Ruby Hester of Chaffee and Caroline Gibbons of Leopold; and six great-grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
