Herschel O Burdine, 62, of 2906 River Road, West Lafayette, was killed Sunday morning in an accident at his residence. Born at Somerset, Ky. he had resided in Tippecanoe County 45 years and was a retired electrician and maintenance man, having worked 17 years at Alton box Board Co., and also at Purdue University. Mr Burdune was a member of Greenbush Street Baptist Church. Eagles Lodge 347 and Moose Lodge 529. He also was an associate member of Fraternal Order of Police. Arman Lodge 449. Surviving are a son, Thomas H Burdine of Lafayette, one daughter, Mrs John (Barbara) Tippie of Naperville, Illinois; and a sister, Mrs Louise Burton of Sumerset Ky. Rest Haven Cemetery.
