Dianne Augusta Flohrs Adamson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, August 3rd, 2020.

Dianne was born in 1944, at the St. James Hospital to Alvin and Dorothy Flohrs of Trimont. Dianne grew up living on a farm in Galena Township, riding her palomino horse Flicka and raising ducks that would follow her all around the farm.

She attended Trimont High school (c62) where she met the love of her life, Sterling.

She graduated from beauty school in Fairmont in 1963 and began her early career as a Beautician, first at Lee's Beauty Nook from 1964-1973. She started her own business called the Downtown Beauty Salon which was in operation from 1973-1980.

Dianne and Sterling married in the winter of 1965 and soon after welcomed three daughters. Dianne asked Jesus into her heart at the age of 18 and lived her life for the Lord, following the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi: Where there is doubt, let me bring faith. Where there is despair, let me bring hope. Where there is darkness, let me bring your light. Where there is sadness, let me bring joy.

Dianne brought joy to her family, church and community in several ways.

Some of the highlights include:

Youth Group Leader
Trimont Health Care Center Chapel leader
AWANA
Professional baker at the Encore Cafe in St. James
Baker at Caseys in Trimont
Church Serving Circle Leader
Trimont Funfest
Trimont Chocolate Festival
Trimont Garden Club
Book Club "Food For Thought"
Girls Movie Night
Directed Summer Theater
4-H Leader
Meals on Wheels Volunteer
ECFE Teacher Assistant
Chairwoman of the Trimont Centennial Celebration where she not only chaired the entire event, she wrote the musical "Trimont Is A Friendly Town."
Town Librarian - Summer reading programs were very successful
Catering - She could throw the best parties!

The town's best hostess, she would open her home for friends, family and strangers offering a meal and a place to stay.

Even though she loved all of these roles, the one she loved the most was being a mom and a grandma. Dianne will forever be remembered for being larger than life, having a deep love of her family and baking the best chocolate chip cookies, ever!

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Mary and Darlene, brother: Roger and leaves behind husband Sterling of 55 years;

Lyna, Paul (Swanson) Noah, Seth, Caleb, & Lisi, Joshua (Waylander) Raya Hope & Geri, Ryan (Bell) and brother Lowell and his wife Elaine Flohrs and many more family and friends.

Peace to her memory.
