Carol Ellen Daulton, age 75, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family.
Carol was born on January 1, 1947 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Linville and Martha Hunley Calhoun. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Nancy. Carol was a longtime employee of 33 years at Wiggington Builders. She enjoyed feeding her birds, squirrels and hummingbirds. She also enjoyed going to the beach and especially loved spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Ann (and Eddie) Taylor of Somerset and Lori Ann (and Eric) Carter of Somerset; Jacks' children, Mark (Vicki) Daulton of Willow Springs, NC and Sandra Daulton of Raleigh, NC; her three grandchildren, Brianne Carter, Taylor Carter and Hannah Carter; Jacks' grandchildren, Heather (Julian) Fernandez, Rachel Strahler and Jacqueline Bemiss; three brothers, David (Relda) Calhoun of Somerset, Randy Calhoun of Somerset and Eddie Calhoun of Somerset; one sister, Debbie (Randy) Zimmerman of Lawrenceburg, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell "Jack" Daulton of whom she married on March 1, 1969 in Frankfort, Indiana and he preceded her on June 26, 2019; one brother, Donald Calhoun; and one sister-in-law, Valerie Calhoun.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow on Friday at 1:00pm with Bro. Jamie Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
