Jerry Donovan Brenda, age 77 of Paris, TN, died Monday, January 25, 2021, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Jerry was born March 31, 1943, in Princeton, KY, to the late Herman August Brenda and the late Thelma Larue Sisk Brenda. He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. His professional career was in human resources where he retired, after many years, as the Human ResourceManager for Emerson Tool Company in Paris. Jerry's hobbies included woodworking, a skill taught to him by his father. He also enjoyed history and was an avid reader. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he had taught Sunday school and served as a deacon. Active in missions, he loved to help others and took part in mission trips including one to Dakar Senegal, West Africa. Jerry was a loving father and husband. He was married December 26, 1964, to Linda Morgan Brenda, who survives, of Paris, TN. Along with his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Krista (Dewayne) Sanders of Medina, TN; his son, Matthew (Keeli) Brenda of Springhill, TN; one sister, Phyllis (Ronnie) Ladd of Princeton, KY; and six grandchildren, Brittany Miller, Ashley Sanders, Allison Sanders, Braydon Sanders, Gracyn Brenda, and Braxton Brenda. Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 313 N. Poplar Street, Paris, TN 38242. The funeral service will be Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, with Jerry Massey, Todd Henson, and Trent Bullock officiating.
