At the age of two years she came with her parents to Illinois and settled near Walnut. In April 1877 she was united in marriage to T. J. Westbrook. To this union four children were born.
She joined the Wesleyan Methodist church in 1896 and was ever faithful in her attendance until recent years her health became so poorly she was kept very much at home where she served her Loving Master to the last.
She was a most loving and endearing mother and the beautiful thoughts she leaves in the hearts of her children and grand children will always be most sacred memories. She was a very patient sufferer always keeping her burdens to herself.
Her husband preceded her in death thirteen years ago. She leaves to mourn her passing , her four children, Mrs. Nellie Hechner, North Platte, Nebr., Mr. Lemmual Westbrook at home, Mrs. Nettie Taylor and Mrs. Grace Plum both of Walnut besides 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of loving neighbors and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the Wesleyan Methodist Church with Rev. Mr. B. J. Hoover of Dundee, Ia. and Rev. Mr. Waldo Tindall of Wyanet in charge. Music was beautifully rendered by Mrs. Ruth Martin and Mrs. Martha Cramer accompanied by James Edward Skerry on the piano. Burial was in the Limerick cemetery.
