Charles Huff, 87, a resident of Maroa for more than 80 years and a building
contractor here until he retired 10 years ago, died Thursdaymorning at his
home after an illness of one month.
He was born in Dowagiac, Mich. May 10, 1849 and moved to Maroa in 1855. He
married Miss Jennie Russell May 3, 1882. She died in 1908.
He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Harry Gambrel of Maroa; two sisters, Mrs.
William Stiedley of Shreveport, La. and Mrs. A.C.Billicke of Los Angeles,
Calif.
Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 in the Caplinger Funeral home here.
