Loretta was born on December 13, 1932 in Manitowoc to the late Newphrey and Clara (Andrastek) Check. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. On August 4, 1956, Loretta married Wallace G. Norkosky at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manitowoc and celebrated 62 years of marriage together. He preceded her in death on May 17,2019. Loretta had worked as a secretary for Dewane Law Offices, Lakeshore Technical Institute in Admissions and at St. Mary's Nursing Home in the St. Mary's Administration Office and in the cashier's office at Pietroske Automotive.
Loretta was an avid bowler, enjoyed reading, playing bingo, playing bridge marathons, listening to Polka music and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and an honorary member of St. Clare Society.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Newphrey and Clara Check; husband, Wally; sister and brother-in-law, Esther (Zeke) Tittl; two brothers-in-law, Earl and Kenneth; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Koch.
