Edward E. "Buster" Triplett, 64, of Etowah, died early Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Woods Memorial Hospital in Etowah.
A native of Polk County, he was a resident of McMinn County for 40 years and was a son of the late Ernest and Emma Seay Triplett. He was also a clerk at TNT.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Waters Triplett of Etowah; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Connie Triplett of Etowah; one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Randy Rayburn of Etowah; four grandchildren, Brett and Matt Rayburn and Ashleigh and Amber Triplett; eight sisters, Lillian Higdon of Houston, Texas, Kathleen Morgan, Bobbie Coleman, Lorene Martin and Betty Hamby, all of Etowah, Sue Prichard of Cleveland, Nina Reynolds of Sweetwater and Leona Haney of Etowah; two brothers, Tom Triplett of Etowah and Darrell Triplett of Lenoir City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Webb, the Rev. Hoyt Melton and the Rev. Fred Tate officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Conasauga Cemetery with Brett Rayburn, Matt Rayburn, Andy Daugherty, Buddy Martin, David Triplett and Greg Triplett serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
