Services for Opal Ranson will be 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
Born Aug. 10, 1928, at Ardmore, she died May 11, 2000, at Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Ranson; two sons, Glen R. Potts and John Ranson Jr.; and two daughters, Ladana Potts and Melody Ranson.
Survivors include three sons, Ray Maurice Patton, Oklahoma City, Jan Murray and Glen R. Potts, both Ardmore; and six daughters, Freida J. Ray, Oklahoma City, Stevetta Abran, Houston, Velma McGee, Ardmore, Gloria Allen, Austin, Geri Ann Ranson, Los Angeles and Merwyn Dinwiddie, Oklahoma City,
