Charles Albert Wheeler Sr., "Charlie", on Sunday, May 22 2022, at age 81, Charles A. Wheeler, Sr. of Southampton New Jersey passed away at Virtua Hospital, Mt Holly, New Jersey.

Born October 1940 in Newport North Carolina. (Mill Creek) Charles moved to Detroit Michigan in the early 1950's, subsequently moved to Southampton NJ in the early 1960's and has been a resident since. He retired after 46 years at Blue Grass Lawn Farms in Southampton New Jersey.

He was a husband, father, and grandfather (Pop Pop) who was teachable and at peace with himself and others. He lived simply and gratefully. He was slow to offend but quick to forgive. He treated everyone with respect, recognized his limitations, celebrated the accomplishments of others, and was a great listener. Simply put, he was a good man, a humble man whom his family loves dearly and will miss with all their hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan.
Father of Sherry Bokolas (Spiro), Charles A. Wheeler Jr. (LeAnn), Timothy Wheeler (Tammy), Kevin McVicar, Colleen Conine (Todd), and Heather Watts (Brian).
Grandfather of Daryle Bokolas (Lisa), Sophia Bokolas, Thomas Bokolas (Erica), Ashley Wheeler, Charles Dean Wheeler, Paige Barry (Christopher), Nicole Wheeler, and Danielle Wheeler, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Great-Grandfather of Taylor Owens, Dalton Wheeler, Dylan Wheeler, Kevin Wheeler, Anthony Bokolas, Onalean Bokolas, and Francisco Bokolas.
Dear brother of Peggy Newkirk (Donald), Ruth Mott (Donald), and Joyce Parker (Randy).

He is pre-deceased by his father, Willie H. Wheeler Sr. of Wallace, North Carolina, his mother Leola Nebelung of Newport, North Carolina, (Mill Creek), his brothers LeMon Ray Wheeler of Georgetown, South Carolina, and Willie H. Wheeler Jr. of Wallace, North Carolina, and his sister Katrina Graham of Hainesport, New Jersey.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Park View Cemetery; 25 Fostertown Rd. Medford NJ, 08055.
