Philip was the son of Philip Koppenhofer Sr. and Magdelena. He was born in Winfield, Queens, L.I.N.Y.
His wife Marie (nee Schenk) predeceased him in 1943.

*PHILIP KOPPENHOFER* - Octogenarian
The Rev. Herbert A. Dick, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, College Point, will conduct services at 8 o'clock tonight for Philip Koppenhofer of 119-19 14th Road, College Point. The funeral will be held at 10 A.M. tomorrow from the Shaffer Chapel, 122-11 18th Avenue, College Point, and the burial will be in Flushing Cemetery.
Mr. Koppenhofer, a retired employee of the Kleinert Rubber Company, died at Queens General Hospital on Friday, two days after observing his 80th birthday.
Born in Winfield, Mr. Koppenhofer lived in North Queens all his life and was a College Point resident for 30 years. He was a member of the exempt Fireman's Association of Newtown.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Catherine Manwaring of Winfield.
