Surviving are her husband, Edward Lee Dickens; son, Maurice Hawley; six grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred Jr. (Eloise) and Terry Hawley; two sisters, Carolyn and Cheryleen Hawley; mother-in-law, Louise M. Price; nieces and nephews; host of other relatives and friends.
Remains rested at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where the family received friends Sunday, December 30, 2007, from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral services were held at 12 noon Monday, December 31, 2007, at Mt. Cary Baptist Church, Scotland Neck Road, Enfield, NC. Rev. Jimmie Lowe, officiated. Interment Cedar View Cemetery, Enfield, NC.
