Nancy Sue Benaway, 58 of Midland, died at her home Thursday, August 2, 2018. She was born January 14, 1960 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Smith) Clapp. Nancy was a graduate of Breckenridge High School. On March 18, 1995, she married Martin J. Benaway in Gatlinburg, TN. Nancy enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, games, puzzles, boating, mushroom picking, and birds. She also loved driving around in her red Mustang with her faithful companion Anna. Nothing gave Nancy greater joy than spending time and taking care of her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Martin Benaway; children Jeremy (Kara) Fleminger of Jackson, Kassandra (Jason) Corwin of Clio, Molly Fleminger of Midland, Jarrett (Megan Murdock) Benaway also of Midland, and Whitney (Jacob) Ellison of Hemlock; grandchildren Allie Corwin, Khaner Method, Isaac Fleminger, Serenity Ellison, Brinley Fleminger, Natalie Corwin, Jackson Ellison, Addie Ellison, Hannah Corwin, Olivia Corwin, and Colton Ellison. Nancy is also survived by her siblings Dwight Clapp, Thomas (Kathy) Clapp, and Carol (Robert) Eggebrecht all of Merrill.
