Dorothy Jean Weismiller Johnston, 79, of Paris, KY died at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington.

She was born on a Sunday, in Louisville. She was a social worker for many years, including the Hardin County court system. She also worked with the PATCH Project and was a secretary with the Paris Board of Education. She was a member of the Bourbon County Homemakers and loved helping people, especially the elderly. Mrs. Johnston was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris, where she was secretary for the pastor and active the GEMS Club.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Randall L. Weismiller and Edward Johnston; and a son, Randall H. Weismiller.

Survivors include a son, James R. Weismiller of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday at First United Methodist Church in Paris with Pastor Jerri Williams officating.

Cremation was chosen and a graveside service will be at Elizabethtown Cemetery at a later date.
