On Friday, July 15, 2022, Mary Ann Mehr, loving mother of three children and four grandchildren died at age 90. Mary was born May 27, 1932, in Augusta, Georgia to Hezzie W. and Ruby (Inglett) Arrington. She married the love of her life, Lloyd B. Mehr on October 17, 1952, and they recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. She was a homemaker and military wife. She lived in Alabama, New Mexico, Texas, Montana, Mississippi, Germany, South Carolina and Oklahoma. She raised three boys; Lloyd Jr. (Bernie) of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Robert and Kenny who both reside in Charleston, South Carolina. She loved God, her husband, children, friends and her dogs. She enjoyed playing bingo, antiquing and worked as a volunteer on various Air Force bases at the base thrift shops. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd B. Mehr; her father, Hezzie Arrington; her mother, Ruby Arrington; her brothers, Vincent and Clarence Arrington; and her sister, Sarah Morris. Additionally, she is preceded in death by her beloved niece, Jackie Sheppard, who she helped raise and mentor. She is survived by her three children: Lloyd Jr. and his wife Brenda, Robert and his wife Michelle and Kenny; her three grandchildren, Joshua, Tiffany and Stephanie; her four great grandchildren; her nieces, Mary M. Williams of Augusta, Georgia and Loillette M. Brown. Additionally, she is survived by her childhood best friend, Carolyn Moody of Augusta, Georgia. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 23 July, at the Barnes Friederich Funeral Home chapel, Midwest City, Oklahoma, followed with a graveside service next to her husband, Lloyd Mehr, at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
