A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church (County Line), Peru, at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Chaplain Kent Terry will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville, will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
Burdette was born on July 29, 1938, in Spring Valley, to Leslie O. and Leona E. (Naumann) Boers. He married Beverly Thompson.
He graduated from the University of Illinois, in Champaign, with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked at Argon National Lab. Burdette also farmed. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of Standard; son, Brian (Anne) Boers, of Geneva, IL; daughter, Sally (David) Sorce, of Mesa, Arizona; and two grandchildren, Austin (Brittney) Boers, and Paige (Jake) Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two uncles, Ed Boers and Bob Boers.
