Son of Joseph Bond and wife, Martha Rogers Bond, of Guilford County NC.

Married Elizabeth Jane Beeson on 28 Jan 1778 in Guilford County NC.

They were parents of at least 8 children:
Sons: Joseph, Benjamin, Joel, Isaac, William
Daughters: Martha, Elizabeth, Jane

John and his first wife, Jane Beeson Bond, were in the membership of Centre Friends Meeting until 1 Jan 1781 when they moved to Deep River Friends Meeting. On 1 Jun 1784, John was disowned from Deep River Friends Meeting.

1790 Census shows the family living in Randolph County NC which adjoins Guilford County NC.

His wife, Jane Beeson Bond, died 9 Jan 1792 which was 2 days after the birth of their daughter Jane. Jane Beeson Bond is buried in Guilford County NC.

Daughter Jane's birth was registered by Centre Friends Meeting House so John's excommunication must have been finished by then.

At some point between Jane's death in Jan 1792 and the signing of John's Will in Jun 1795, he had remarried to Elizabeth Beeson (perhaps a relative of his first wife). They had a daughter named Charity.

John and Elizabeth and their family moved to Knox County TN between Jan 1792 and when his Will was signed on 17 Jun 1795. At his death, John owned 450 acres in Knox County TN. His Will was proven in Jul 1795 so he is assumed to have died then.

All 8 of his children from first marriage were mentioned in his Last Will and Testament along with their stepmother, Elizabeth.

All 5 of John's sons were accepted into Newhope Friends Meeting in Greene County TN on 17 Oct 1795.

A John Bond and wife, Elizabeth Bond, were accepted into membership of Newhope Friends Meeting in Greene County TN on 28 Nov 1795. This is probably a different couple but information noted here.
